Earlier this year, VAIO made its comeback to the notebook market by launching the VAIO Z (2021). While it did feature a robust design and decent hardware, its price would come as a tad offputting to many. VAIO has now bought the VAIO Z (2021) to India with an extremely premium price tag. The VAIO Z (2021) is MIL-STD-810H certified, meaning that it can take a significant amount of abuse. Furthermore, it comes with a top-of-the-line colour-accurate screen and it is the world’s first to contoured carbon fibre laptop. Let’s take a look at what the VAIO Z (2021) has in store for us.
VAIO Z (2021) price in India
The new VAIO Z (2021) price in India is set at an eye-watering Rs 3,52,990. We don’t know which variant of the laptop has landed in India yet. The company has not revealed the sale date for the laptop yet.
VAIO Z (2021) specifications
As mentioned earlier, the VAIO Z (2021)’s screen is one of its redeeming elements. The 14-inch 4K panel covers 99.8% of the DCI-P3 gamut and is HDR 10-certified. The notebook ships with up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of solid-state storage via an NVMe SSD. An Intel Core i7-11375H powers the notebook, coupled with Intel Xe graphics. Some Tiger Lake-H processor and dGPU options would have been ideal, given the high price tag that VAIO is charging for the notebook.
Other VAIO Z (2021) specs include a 2MP 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 1x Thunderbolt 4.0 port, 1x USB Type-C port, 1x HDMI 2.0 port, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone/mic audio jack. Windows Hello functionality is also included with the webcam. Lastly, the Vaio Z (2021) ships with a paltry 53Wh battery that can power the notebook for up to 10 hours.
