Vodafone Idea announced its all-new gaming service in partnership with Nazara Technologies, a mobile entertainment company. The service is named Vi Games and brings more than 1,400 games available for prepaid and postpaid subscribers. These games are available in 10 popular genres – action, adventure, arcade, casual, fun, puzzle, racing, sports, education, and strategy on the Vi App. The Vi games are offered in three categories: platinum tier, gold tier, and free-to-play games. The games also include Disney movies and cartoon titles like Castle of Illusion, Ducktales Remastered, Big Hero 6 Bot Fight, Disney Kickoff, Disney Zootopiaand more.
Vodafone Idea Games plans
The Vi games are offered in three categories: platinum tier, gold tier, and free-to-play games. The Gold tier offers the most extensive gaming library with 30 games at Rs 50 for postpaid subscribers and Rs 56 for prepaid users, valid for 30 days. The postpaid users with Rs 499 and above recharge plans will be offered five free games every month.
The platinum tier provides a pay per download basis via a pass that is priced at Rs 25 for postpaid customers and Rs 26 for prepaid users. Lastly, the free-to-play tier packs over 250 free titles in the application.

With its new gaming service, Vodafone Idea aims to enhance the average revenue per user(ARPU) to compete with Jio and Airtel’s dominance in the telecom market. The Vi Games also has an e-sports section in the application that currently says – Stay tuned! We’re building something fun. We will be live on Vi Games soon.
Vodafone Idea’s Chief Marketing Officer – Avneesh Khosla, said in a press statement, “We are seeing a significant uptake of gaming consumption in India with more than 95 percent of gaming enthusiasts using the mobile device to enjoy a wide variety of content. We see Gaming as a major focus area of our digital content strategy, and we intend to build a comprehensive play encompassing most facets of Gaming with the aim of establishing Vi as a preferred destination for both, casual as well as serious gamers.”
