Vivo APEX 2020 concept phone will launch on February 28th, here’s what you need to know

“Vivo APEX 2020 concept phone is expected to come with an under screen front camera for selfies and ultra-fast-charging support”

Vivo has announced that it will launch the APEX 2020 concept phone on February 28th in Beijing. The phone was supposed to be unveiled at the MWC 2020 in Barcelona, but since the event was cancelled over the coronavirus outbreak, Vivo has decided to make the announcement in Beijing. The new APEX 2020 teaser image shows a faintly curved screen side and “120” number, which could presumably mean a 120Hz refresh rate or an entirely different thing. Another image shows the rear side of the phone, which has a circular camera module with a periscope zoom lens for lossless zoom. To recall, Vivo showcased the APEX 2019 concept phone with a port-less and button-less design back in January 2019.

Rumours suggest the APEX 2020 concept phone would come with an under screen front camera for selfies and video chats and ultra-fast charging support. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the Vivo APEX 2020 concept phone at the moment, but with the launch just a few days away, we should know more information then.

Separately, Vivo Z6 5G will be officially announced on February 29th in China and will succeed Vivo Z5 that was launched in 2019. The handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, pack quad-camera setup at the back and a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner. On the front of the device, the device has a single punch-hole cutout at the top-right corner to accommodate the selfie snapper. The Vivo Z6 5G will be available in three colour variants – Black, White, and Blue/Purple gradient.
