Vivo IQOO Lite could launch with 33W fast-charging

“Vivo V1936A is expected to come with Snapdragon 855 SoC, AMOLED display, 4,500mAh battery and run on Android 9.0 Pie”

Vivo’s iQOO brand is said to be gearing up to launch a new Snapdragon 855-powered variant of the iQOO Neo smartphone that was officially unveiled in July. Now, a mysterious Vivo phone with model number V1936A has received China’s 3C certification. The listing reveals the handset would support 33W fast charging. Though it’s not confirmed, there’s a possibility that it could be the Snapdragon 855-powered successor to the iQOO Neo that would be marketed as iQOO Lite in China. Since it bagged 3C, the handset might appear on TENAA along with its images and specifications in the next few days.

Since the Vivo iQOO smartphone that ships with the Snapdragon 855 SoC has support for 44W fast charging, it makes sense for the lite variant to come with slightly low-power output. Furthermore, Vivo recently trademarked NEX Pro, NEX Neo, NEX Lite, Vivox Pro, Vivox Lite and ‘iQOO Lite’ with EUIPO. Rumours also suggest the iQOO Lite would come equipped with an OLED display with waterdrop notch (and likely with an in-display fingerprint sensor) and pack a beefy 4,500mAh battery. Considering the said specifications, the iQOO Lite moniker fits perfectly. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the smartphone yet, but we should come across more information in the coming days.

Vivo iQOO Neo flaunts a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution.  It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. In terms of optics, there is a triple camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary snapper, an 8MP secondary shooter and a 2MP third sensor. On the front, the handset has a 12MP camera for selfies and video chats. The Vivo iQOO Neo runs on Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch OS 9 skin on top. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support fuels the handset.
