Vivo iQOO Pro 5G to feature Snapdragon 855 Plus, UFS 3.0 storage, and LPDDR4X RAM

Vivo iQOO Pro 5G smartphone will be launching on August 22nd in China. It is an upgraded version of the iQOO gaming phone that was launched in April. Now, the brand has gone ahead and confirmed some of the features and specifications of the upcoming IQOO Pro 5G. We already knew that the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform and is said to be the first phone to have support for 5G connectivity but now, it’s confirmed the handset would arrive with the latest UFS 3.0 storage, LPDDR4X RAM and support the F2FS File format. The Vivo iQOO Pro 5G has model number V1916A and recently bagged certifications from 3C and TENAA. It measures 158.77 x 75.73 x 9.325mm and weighs 217 grams.

The Vivo iQOO Pro 5G is equipped with a 6.41-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is said to come in multiple RAM and storage variants including 8GB and 12GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage. The Vivo iQOO Pro 5G is likely to run Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch OS on top. In terms of optics, the rear has a 48MP primary sensor, a 13MP secondary snapper, and a 12MP third sensor rounding off the triple rear camera setup. On the front, there is a 12MP snapper for selfies and video chats.

Despite the iQOO Pro 5G received TENAA certification in China, images aren’t updated, but the teaser images suggest a design similar to the iQOO gaming phone. Recent leaks claim the 8GB + 128GB variant will be priced at RMB 4,498 (around Rs 45,300). Since the launch is inching close, we should know more details in the coming days.
