“Live images of the NEX 3 smartphone has also surfaced on China’s microblogging platform Weibo”
Vivo NEX 3, along with a 5G variant of the handset, will be making its debut next month in China. The upcoming flagship is said to come with a ‘waterfall’ screen that bears curved edges and no notch or bezel whatsoever. Now, alleged live images of the Vivo NEX 3 smartphone has surfaced on Weibo, which match the sketches and teasers Vivo have been sharing for a while. The images reveal the upcoming NEX series smartphone will indeed have a truly bezel-less screen, with almost 100 percent screen-to-body ratio. The fascia of the handset with those curved edges looks similar to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy smartphones.
As seen from the image above, the Vivo NEX 3 seems to have no cut-out or punch-hole atop the display, which means it could come with a pop-up selfie camera design. The camera will most likely retract from the top-edge for selfies and video calling, just like the original Vivo NEX smartphone. The back of the phone has a glass finish with a triple camera module arranged in a circular module at the top-right corner. There is an LED flash just below the camera module and ‘NEX’ branding at the bottom. The fingerprint scanner is missing from the back panel of the NEX 3, which makes us believe that it could be on the front underneath the display.
Apart from this, renowned tipster, Sudhanshu Ambhore has spilled the beans on Vivo NEX 3 specifications. He tweeted that the handset will pack Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and a full-HD+ waterfall display with a 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, which are in line with the latest leak. The phone is also tipped to feature 64MP camera, UFS 3.0 storage, both 4G and 5G connectivity, NFC, H-Fi, and 44W fast charging. Apart from this, the Vivo NEX 3 could be among the few flagships to still offer a 3.5mm headphone jack.
