Several Vivo NEX 5 specifications and launch timeline have been revealed to us via a new leak spotted on Chinese microblogging site WeiboIt’s been a while since Vivo launched a NEX device, and its latest iteration aims to bedazzle the smartphone market like its predecessors. Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo NEX 5 sometime in H2 2021, according to the leak. It is tipped to feature exciting features such as an under-display selfie camera and a quad-curved display. A sketchy leak prophesizes that it could come with six rear cameras, but we assumed it was an April Fool’s day joke. Apparently, there are two variants of the smartphone in the works. Vivo NEX 5 specifications

For starters, the Vivo NEX 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It’ll be interesting to see how much RAM and storage Vivo decided to throw in. Both versions of the phone will ship with a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel. One variant will come with an under-display selfie camera and another with a hole-punch camera. A 32MP selfie camera module will be used on both models.

At the back, the Vivo NEX 5 could feature two 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensors, one of which will act as the primary lens and the other as an ultra-wide-angle lens. We can also expect it to feature Vivo’s Gimbal stabilization and optical image stabilization (OIS). Details about its remaining camera setup are unknown, but it shouldn’t be long before we find out. 

Moving on to the battery side of things, the Vivo NEX 5 will ship with a 4,500mah battery. Multiple sources cite different charging speeds, with one source stating that it will be capped at 66W and another insisting that it will be 120W. Its wireless charging speed will be 60W.
