Last month, Vivo launched the under-display fingerprint sensor-toting Vivo X21 (review) smartphone in India. On the sidelines of the event, 91mobiles had conversations with the company’s official, who revealed that the brand’s futuristic all-screen smartphone will be launched in the Indian market in the near future. Now we have more details regarding Vivo’s plans to launch the recently-announced NEX in the Indian market from our retail sources.
According to our sources, Vivo is planning to launch the NEX flagship in India in the third week of July. The phone will be priced around Rs 40,000. To recall, the Vivo NEX was launched in China last week, alongside the NEX Ultimate. However, we haven’t been able to ascertain if the Chinese company is planning to release one model or both of them in the country, although the pricing indicates that it’ll be the affordable variant.

To recap, the Vivo NEX Ultimate flaunts a bezel-free 6.59-inch Ultra FullView FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24 percent. The handset boasts an 8MP elevating selfie camera on top, which pops out whenever you need to click self-portraits. At the rear, the handset has a 12MP + 5MP dual camera module. The device flaunts the third-gen under-display fingerprint sensor for security, which as per Vivo is 50 percent more accurate and 10 percent faster.
The Vivo NEX Ultimate is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, mated to 8GB of RAM. The storage variants of the phone include 128GB and 256GB, which both support microSD cards for further memory expansion. The device boots Android 8.1 Oreo, and is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery.

As for the Vivo NEX, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Instead of the under-display fingerprint reader, the handset is equipped with the conventional fingerprint sensor, placed at the rear. The rest of its specifications remain the same as the Vivo NEX Ultimate.
