Vivo S1 has received a price cut in India exactly a month after its price was hiked alongside a few other Vivo smartphones due to the revised GST rate. 91mobiles has learned via offline retail sources that the Vivo S1 4GB RAM variant price in India has been dropped by Rs 1,000. To recall, this variant received a price hike of Rs 2,000 last month, which brought the price up to Rs 17,990 from Rs 15,990. Our retail sources now say that the Rs 1,000 price cut will go into effect starting today i.e May 1st across retail stores in India. Meanwhile, the 6GB + 128GB variant price remains unchanged for now.
Vivo S1 price in India
Following the price cut, the new Vivo S1 price for the 4GB + 128GB variant is Rs 16,990. As mentioned, the new price is now in effect across retail stores in India. However, you will only be able to purchase the Vivo S1 from retail stores post-lockdown. The Vivo S1 prices on Flipkart are still the same following the hike i.e Rs 17,990 for the 4GB + 128GB model and Rs 19,990 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The phone was previously available in a 6GB + 64GB variant as well, but Vivo discontinued that in January.
Vivo S1 specifications
Vivo S1 was launched in August 2019 as the first smartphone in the country to be powered by MediaTek Helio P65 processor. The smartphone sports a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. The device was launched with FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie.
The Vivo S1 sports a triple camera setup that comprises of a 16MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the smartphone gets a 32MP selfie camera. The Vivo S1 houses a 4,500mAh battery and supports fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
