The Vivo S1 (review) smartphone has received a “Festive” price cut in India. The mid-range offering, which was announced a couple of months ago, is now available at a starting price of Rs 16,990 in offline and online stores across the country. This is down from its launch price of Rs 17,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Similarly, the Vivo S1’s 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option is available at Rs 17,990 instead of Rs 18,990 and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is now available at Rs 18,990 instead of Rs 19,990, following the price drop. The Vivo S1 comes in Skyline Blue and Diamond Black colours options.

The major highlights of the Vivo S1 are its diamond-cut design, Halo-notch display, chipset, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone runs Android 9 Pie-based FunTouchOS 9 out of the box. The handset ships with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution and a small cut-out up top that houses the selfie camera. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P65 chipset paired with the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage option, which is further expandable up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.
In the imaging department, the phone has a triple camera setup at the back with 16-megapixel Sony IMX499 primary sensor, aided by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. For selfies and video calling, there is a 32-megapixel shooter on the front. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone port, and GPS with GLONASS. A beefy 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support keeps the Vivo S1 up and running.
