The Vivo S1 Pro smartphone in India will be different from the one launched in China in May 2019. 91mobiles has learned from retail sources that the handset, which is scheduled to launch in mid-January 2020, will debut in the country with a 6.38-inch Full-HD+ display with waterdrop notch. And as for the chipset, the Vivo S1 Pro will rock Snapdragon 665 SoC and in the camera department, will sport a diamond-shaped quad-rear camera setup – similar to the Vivo S5.
The cameras will be equipped with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a couple of 2-megapixel units. The Vivo S1 Pro price in India will be under Rs 20,000. It will pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant and come in blue, white, and purple colour options.
To recall, the Vivo S1 Pro Chinese variant ships with a pop-up selfie camera design, a 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, and Snapdragon 675 chipset ticking at its core. The phone features triple rear cameras with a 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and 5-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera of the handset gets a 32-megapixel unit. The Vivo S1 Pro is driven by a 3,700mAh battery, while Android 9.0 Pie with Vivo’s custom Funtouch OS 9 UI on top takes care of the software side of things. The phone also sports an in-display fingerprint scanner and standard connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ GLONASS.
The Vivo S1 Pro in China comes in two variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 256GB storage, and a starting price of RMB 2,698, which is around Rs 28,000. The handset there is available in Love Blue and Coral Red hues.
