The Vivo S16 launch date seems to be nearing as the series has been popping up online via leaks over the past few weeks. Today, 91mobiles has spotted the smartphone on Geekbench, which reveals its key specifications and suggests an imminent launch. This comes after a render of the Vivo S16 Pro model appeared, showing off the phone’s complete design. While we still need to learn what the vanilla S16 looks like, we do have an idea about its hardware thanks to Geekbench. The unit listed on the benchmarking platform carries a V2244A model number and runs on Android 13 OS.
Vivo S16 Geekbench listing
The Geekbench listing of the Vivo S16 reveals that it will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC running at 3.19GHz max clock speed. It features an Adreno 650 GPU for graphical needs. Lastly, the Vivo S16 variant spotted on Geekbench packs 12GB RAM.
With the aforementioned arsenal at its disposal, the smartphone managed to bag 1,016 points in the single-core test and 3,138 points in the multi-core test. Besides this, there’s no additional information available about the Vivo S16. We can, however, expect a high refresh rate Full-HD+ display, a large battery that will likely support fast charging, and at least a dual rear camera setup.
The rumour mill suggests that the Vivo S16 series will debut in China this month and could make its way to other markets early next year. Unfortunately, the price, design, and other details of the vanilla Vivo S16 are still under wraps. However, we expect to learn more about it in the coming days via leaks leading toward the official launch event.
