Compact phones are back to trending these days, with brands queuing up in line. Vivo already has the Vivo X200 Pro Mini compact flagship, and it is now gearing up to introduce another small phone and this time in the S-series. The phone in question is the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, which has been confirmed by a company executive, along with some key specifications. It’s also speculated that this phone could launch in India as the Vivo X200 FE.
Vivo S30 Pro Mini confirmed
- Vivo’s Product VP, Ouyang Weifeng announced the S30 Pro Mini’s launch on Weibo. “The S Pro will meet you at the end of the month in a new form, it has the strength of the pro, but it is in the name of mini, so it has a new name, S30 Pro mini,” official’s text loosely translated to English from Chinese. The executive has also shed light on the Vivo S30.
- The Vivo S30 lineup will include at least two models: the Vivo S30 and the Vivo S30 Pro Mini.
- The phones will be debuting in China later this month. However, the exact date has not been mentioned yet
- The Vivo executive notes that the Vivo S30 Pro Mini will have the “power of the Pro model but in a mini form factor.”
- This is also the first time that the S-series is getting a new compact phone.
- The Vivo S30 Pro Mini is confirmed to sport a 6.31-inch display, much like the Vivo X200 Pro Mini. This is said to be more comfortable to use.
- Despite the small form factor, the handset will pack a large 6,500mAh super large blue-ocean battery.
- The standard Vivo S30 will get a larger 6.67-inch display and an ultra-thin body. It could also get a 6,500mAh battery.
- Besides revealing the key specs, the executive has also shared the renders of the phones, showing a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter and slim bezels.
The Vivo S-series is usually rebranded as the V-lineup in global markets. However, the Vivo S30 Pro Mini is speculated to launch as the Vivo X200 FE in India. It is said that the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e. It could get a dual 50MP camera setup on the back and a 50MP snapper on the front for selfies. The Vivo X200 FE/S30 Pro Mini could get 90W fast wired charging.
The Vivo X200 FE may debut in India around June end or early July. This will arrive as a stripped-down version of the Vivo X200 Pro Mini, which was launched at CNY 4,699 (around Rs 55,800).
