“Vivo S5 is also expected to come with quad camera setup, gradient finish, and an in-display fingerprint sensor”
Vivo S5 launch date is confirmed to be November 14th, with the unveiling slated for an event in Hangzhou, China. While the company released teaser video doesn’t reveal any details about the handset, recent reports suggested that the phone will come with a diamond-shaped quad-camera system. The handset was recently spotted in the hands of Cal Xunkun, the brand ambassador for the Vivo S lineup, in a media interview ahead of the launch. Like with most Vivo phones, the Vivo S5 is also expected to come in various colours and a unique gradient finish. It is also likely to have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
While there’s no information regarding the specifications, it is expected to come with a mid-range processor. Since the launch is still two weeks away from now, there’s a good chance we should come across complete specifications and more teasers from Vivo. To recall, Vivo S1 ships with a MediaTek’s Helio P65 chipset coupled with the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB user expandable storage. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch OS custom skin on top. The handset features a triple camera setup at the back. There is a 32-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
In the meantime, Vivo X30 5G is gearing to be launched shortly. It is expected to come with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 980 chipset, which will be equipped with a 5G modem for NSA and SA network support. The Vivo X30 5G is expected to go official in China on November 7th.
