We have known for some time now that Vivo plans on launching a new 5G smartphone in the Chinese market called the Vivo S6 5G. The launch date was revealed to be 31st March just a few days back and now the full specifications of the phone have made their way to the Chinese certification website TENNA. From what we can make out the phone is going to be part of the mid-range price segment touting a 2.2Ghz processor and quad camera setup. The TENAA listing also reveals Vivo S6 5G renders, confirming its design language.

The Vivo S6 5G images on TENNA reveal the phone will sport a waterdrop notch on the front instead of the previously rumoured dual-punch hole cutout. The phone will also feature a circular camera module on the back that will likely house four camera sensors.

Vivo S6 5G specifications

As far as the Vivo S6 5G specifications go, the phone is said to have a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 2400. The images reveal that the phone will have a waterdrop notch screen instead of the previously rumoured dual-punch hole. Software-wise the phone will be running Android 10-based FunTouch OS.

As far as performance goes, the TENNA listing has mentioned a 5G chipset with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. This could mean either the Snapdragon 765G SoC or the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 will be powering the phone. Other specs mention 6GB and 8GB RAM options and internal storage is either 128GB or 256GB respectively. The memory can always be expanded using a microSD card.

Battery-wise the phone is said to come with a 4,390mAh cell although there is no mention of the charging speeds the phone would support. The camera on the phone is said to have a 48MP primary lens supported by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and two other sensors with 2MP resolution. The front camera is a 32MP selfie shooter housed in the teardrop notch.
