After looking at the performance and battery comparison between the Vivo T3 Ultra and Realme GT 6T, we finally come to the cameras. Our previous two comparisons told us that the Vivo T3 Ultra and Realme GT 6T are pretty evenly matched as far as performance is concerned, while the latter has a slight edge in the battery department. Can Vivo T3 Ultra get a win in the camera space to truly even the battle? After all, Vivo is known for its camera prowess. Let’s take a look at which of the two sub-Rs 35,000 phones take the crown in our camera shootout.
Our camera comparisons evaluate aspects like colour accuracy, sharpness, dynamic range, and more across several scenarios, including daylight, ultrawide, portrait, selfie, low-light with night mode, and low-light without night mode. Our team of experts then analyses the samples you see below to determine which phone delivered the best output in each category.

Daylight
Both the Realme GT 6T and Vivo T3 Ultra feature 50MP cameras with Sony sensors. The former uses the Sony LYT600 sensor, while the latter uses Sony’s IMX921 sensor. We compared the two phones in a cloudy daytime setting and found that the Vivo T3 Ultra captured better colours and sharpness, especially when zooming in on the pavement in front of the fountain and the Zupee logo in the background. The Realme GT 6T leaned towards a warmer tone, which might appeal to some users. However, the majority of our team preferred the overall output from the Vivo T3 Ultra in this comparison.
Winner: Vivo T3 Ultra
Ultrawide
We captured an ultrawide photo from the same location and found that the Realme GT 6T performed better. In the wide-angle photo taken with the Vivo T3 Ultra, there is a noticeable watercolour effect on the building and more distortion in the corners compared to the Realme GT 6T. The Realme also captured the dark rain clouds with more drama and depth. Overall, the Realme GT 6T excelled in the ultrawide department, producing more natural colours, while the Vivo T3 Ultra displayed brighter and more saturated tones.
Winner: Realme GT 6T
Portrait
The outcome of our portrait shootout was interesting, to say the least. While we initially thought the Vivo T3 Ultra would win this round as Vivo has done well with portraits on phones like the V40 series and the X100 series, a side-by-side comparison showed the Realme GT 6T performing better. As you can see in the slider below, the Realme GT 6T captured better skin tones and a consistent bokeh effect in the background, both of which were uneven in the image captured by the Vivo device. The T3 Ultra’s portrait had a pink hue on the subject while the background was not uniformly blurred.
Winner: Realme GT 6T
Selfie
The Vivo T3 Ultra was easily the better selfie shooter in this comparison. It features a 50MP front-facing camera that delivers sharper and more aesthetically pleasing selfies compared to the 32MP camera on the Realme GT 6T. In the comparison slider below, you can see that the Vivo T3 Ultra provides a more balanced exposure, avoiding overexposure in both the foreground and background. The subject’s skin tone and the colour of the shirt were captured more accurately by the Vivo T3 Ultra. Zooming in also reveals greater sharpness in facial features and hair details in the photo from the Vivo phone.
Winner: Vivo T3 Ultra
Low Light (Without Night Mode)
For the low-light scenario, we captured a picture of a building with illuminated signage to assess exposure levels, highlights, lens flare, and more. We took the same shot with night mode both disabled and enabled. With night mode disabled, both the Vivo T3 Ultra and Realme GT 6T captured the cloudy night sky similarly, but the latter performed better in terms of contrast and highlights. The Vivo T3 Ultra exhibited a halo-like blowout effect around the ‘Imperial Gardens’ signage and showed more lens flare compared to the Realme GT 6T. Additionally, the T3 Ultra increased the brightness of the foreground, making the overall picture brighter than the actual scene.
Winner: Realme GT 6T
Low Light (With Night Mode)
So far, the Realme GT 6T has outdone the Vivo T3 Ultra in the camera department, but this one might just clinch it for Realme. With night mode enabled, the Vivo T3 Ultra turned a regular night shot into something from Cyberpunk 2077 with the sky turning unnaturally blue. This aggressive colour science on the Vivo T3 Ultra makes the overall output look less natural compared to what the Realme GT 6T managed with night mode enabled. The Realme GT 6T didn’t do significantly better with night mode compared to without night mode, but the fact that it kept the colour of the sky the same got our vote.
Winner: Realme GT 6T
Verdict
Let’s take a quick look at how things fare for the Vivo T3 Ultra and Realme GT 6T cameras based on the various scenarios we tested them in:
Scene | Winner |
Daylight | Vivo T3 Ultra |
Ultrawide | Realme GT 6T |
Portraits | Realme GT 6T |
Selfie | Vivo T3 Ultra |
Low Light Without Night Mode | Realme GT 6T |
Low Light With Night Mode | Realme GT 6T |
As you can see, the Realme GT 6T proved to be the better shooter in more conditions than the Vivo T3 Ultra. The Realme phone delivered sharper ultrawide and portrait snaps during daylight while offering a reliable output in low light conditions with and without night mode enabled. The Vivo T3 Ultra did a better job in regular daylight shots and selfies, and the latter makes sense given it gets a higher-resolution camera.
While the Realme GT 6T won this camera shootout, you might want to consider the likes of the Vivo V40 (review) and Honor 200 (review) if you’re looking for really good camera phones under Rs 35,000. Both devices are known for delivering excellent portraits thanks to their partnership with ZEISS and Studio-Harcourt, respectively.
While both the Vivo T3 Ultra and Realme GT 6T are powerful phones under Rs 35,000 and won’t disappoint in the performance area, the latter looks like an overall better device. It not only comes with a powerful Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, but our comparisons also say that it delivers better battery efficiency and camera performance compared to the Vivo phone.
