Vivo U10 smartphone was launched in India yesterday at a starting price of Rs 8,990. Now, the company has rebranded the same phone to Vivo U3x and introduced it in its home soil, China. The Vivo U3x flaunts a 6.35-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie snapper and 19:39: aspect ratio. It packs a polycarbonate build with gradient design on the back. The Vivo U3x ships with the Snapdragon 665 mobile platform coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W dual-engine flash charge support.

Vivo U3x is priced at RMB 799 (around Rs 8,000) for the base 3GB + 32GB storage variant, the 3GB + 64GB model costs RMB 899 (around Rs 9,000) and the 4GB + 64GB model will set you back by RMB 999 (around Rs 10,000). Notably, the pricing is in line with what we exclusively reported earlier. The handset will be available in Deep Lake Blue, Midnight Black, and Tea Red colour options. The Vivo U3x will go on sale in China starting September 29th.

Vivo U3x sports a 6.35-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1,520 pixels resolution, 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a waterdrop notch. It is powered by the 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. The handset comes in three variants: 3GB + 32GB, 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 64GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card. The Vivo U3x boots Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch OS 9.1 skin on top. There is Ultra Game Mode, Multi Turbo tech to optimise CPU and GPU resources, Centre Turbo for 60 percent improvement in frame rate stability, and AI Turbo.
In terms of optics, the Vivo U3x features a triple camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP sensor for selfies and video chats. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the phone. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB OTG and GPS with GLONASS. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
