Vivo has launched the new 8GB RAM variant of the Vivo U20 smartphone in India, earlier than expected. The handset is now available for sale exclusively via authorised offline stores across the country with some offers. As reported exclusively by 91mobiles previously, the Vivo U20 price in India for the new 8GB RAM variant is indeed Rs 17,990. The price tag is slightly higher than the online-only 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants of the phone, which were launched last month at a starting price of Rs 10,990. As for the offer, the new Vivo U20 8GB RAM variant is available with 5 percent cashback with HDFC Bank credit card, 5 percent cashback with ICICI Bank credit and debit card EMI transactions, and 5 percent cashback with Axis Bank credit card and debit card EMI transactions until December 31st.
Vivo U20 specifications
The Vivo U20 comes pre-loaded with FunTouch OS 9 with Android 10 out-of-the-box. The handset packs a 6.51-inch full-HD+ display with a Halo notch up top for the selfie camera. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM + 128GB user-expandable storage. Fueling the Vivo U20 smartphone is a beefy 5,000mAh battery, which is backed by 18W fast charging support.
For photography, the U20 rocks 16-megapixel Sony IMX499 triple rear cameras at the back. The setup comprises of 8-megapixel Super wide-angle lens and 2-megapixel macro lens to shoot the images unusually close to the sensor. The front camera of the phone features a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
