Vivo U20 India launch set for November 22nd; key specifications confirmed

“The Vivo U20 is likely to be an affordable offering and will be exclusively available via Amazon.in”

Vivo will refresh the lineup of its U-series with the launch of Vivo U20 smartphone next week in India. The company is slated to launch the handset on November 22nd in the country, confirms an Amazon.in listing. The Vivo U20 will be the successor to the Vivo U10 smartphone, which was launched back in October. The upcoming offering from the brand will pack the same SoC as the mid-rangers V17 Pro and V15 Pro, along with triple rear cameras, up to 6GB of RAM, UFS 2.1 storage, and Halo notch display.

The Vivo U20 could be an affordable offering from the brand.

As per the Amazon listing, the Vivo U20 will be powered by Snapdragon 675 mobile platform – which is said to be 25 percent faster than the U10’s Snapdragon 665 SoC. The handset will flaunt an edge-to-edge screen with dewdrop notch up top that houses the selfie camera. The rear panel of the Vivo U20 seems to be glass, with gradient finish and fingerprint scanner. The triple rear cameras are vertically-aligned at the top-right corner, just like its predecessor. While it has not been revealed yet, the phonemaker could ship the handset with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage options.

The Vivo U20’s chipset is said to be 25 percent faster than its predecessor.

Software-wise, the Vivo U20 will most likely boot Android 9 Pie-based FunTouchOS out of the box. Since the U10 has a beefy 5,000mAh battery, we can expect the same from its successor. Lastly, the U20 could feature an LCD panel with Full-HD+ resolution and impressive screen-to-body ratio.

The Vivo U20 price in India is not known at the moment, but we can tell you it’ll be available on sale only on the e-commerce platform Amazon.in.
