Vivo U3 budget smartphone is now officially launched in China, after being teased recently. The handset ships with the Snapdragon 675 SoC, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and triple camera setup on the back. It also has Multi-Turbo and Game Space to support the processor during gaming sessions and features the company’s AI-based digital assistant Jovi.
Vivo U3 price
The Vivo U3 price for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is RMB 999 (around Rs 10,000). Its 6GB + 64GB sets you back by RMB 1,199 (around Rs 12,000). The handset comes in Black, Blue, and Porcelain Green colour options and will be available for pre-orders in China through Vivo’s official website starting today, i.e. October 21st.
Vivo U3 specifications
The Vivo U3 flaunts a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 675 SoC with Adreno 612 GPU. It comes in two variants, 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB storage, with the storage being further expandable up to 256GB using microSD cards. The Vivo U3 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with FuntouchOS 9.2 UI out of the box and comes with Multi-Turbo and Game Space for better gaming performance.
In terms of optics, the Vivo U3 features a vertically-arranged triple camera setup that consists of a 16MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle-lens and a 2MP macro unit for close-up shots. On the front, there is a 16MP AI-camera for selfies and video chats. The cameras are backed by features like Super Night View 2.0, 4cm macro photography and more. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. It measures 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.89mm and weighs 193 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and Micro USB. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the phone.
