“The Vivo V11 is an affordable variant of the V11 Pro, and comes with a conventional fingerprint reader instead of under-display optical scanner”
Earlier this month, Vivo unveiled its latest V series smartphone called the V11 Pro (review) in the Indian market. At the event, the company said that it will also be introducing an affordable variant of the handset in the country. Now, 91mobiles has learned from its retail sources that the brand has quietly launched the Vivo V11 in India. The phone will be available to buy via brick-and-mortar stores for Rs 22,990 starting September 25th.
Talking about the specs, the Vivo V11 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 processor, as compared to the Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC present on the Vivo V11 Pro. The phone flaunts a 6.3-inch Halo FullView Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, which is slightly smaller than the 6.41-inch panel on the ‘Pro’ variant. Apart from the chipset and display size, the rest of the specs of the V11 are quite similar to the V11 Pro. The V11 boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.5 and comes with Jovi AI assistant. The handset gets 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Instead of an in-display fingerprint scanner however, the Vivo V11 gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In the imaging department, the Vivo V11 sports a 16-megapixel shooter at the rear, aided by a 5-megapixel snapper. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone offers a 25-megapixel snapper on the front. The smartphone’s camera app is also loaded with features like AI Face Beauty, Live Photo, Group Selfie, AR Stickers, AI Portrait Framing, AI scene recognition, and more. The 4G-enabled offering is fuelled by a 3,315mAh battery.
The Vivo V11 comes in two colour variants – Starry Night and Nebula Blue. Considering the fact that the phone will be available to buy from retail stores across India, we can expect the phonemaker to officially launch the smartphone soon.
