“The Vivo V15 Pro is also expected to have a pop-up selfie camera with a 32-megapixel sensor”
We reported last week that the Vivo V15 Pro is expected to arrive by the end of next month in India with a pop-up selfie camera. Now, a leaked case design of the V15 Pro has shed some more light on another alleged feature of the upcoming handset. The leaked case of the Vivo phone also reiterates our exclusive report of a pop-up front camera as can be seen in the image below.
The images of the Vivo V15 Pro case, courtesy Chinese social networking site Weibo, show a long vertical cutout for the rear cameras. Rear camera cutouts this huge have only been seen on phones with triple camera setups, so it is likely the next Vivo mid-range flagship will come with three cameras on the back. Also, there are no cutouts for a fingerprint reader on the back, which suggests an in-display fingerprint sensor on the V11 Pro successor. That’s not surprising as the current V series handset already has such a sensor.
Much about the Vivo V15 Pro, which will launch in the last week of February, remains unknown for now aside from the pop-up selfie shooter. Our exclusive report last week also said that the front camera will be a whopping 32-megapixel high-res sensor, a first of its kind on any smartphone. The Vivo V15 Pro could end up being priced below Rs 30,000, while its smaller sibling could cost less than Rs 25,000.
Vivo V11 Pro specifications
As for the Vivo V11 Pro, it already rocks a Snapdragon 660 SoC, hence it is reasonable to expect a Snapdragon 710 chip on its successor. Other key specifications include a 6.41-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The handset launched in September 2018 and comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a dual-rear camera combo of 12-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera and a 5-megapixel (f/2.4) secondary camera and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery.
