Vivo V17 Pro goes on sale in offline stores before schedule; sales target reduced by 15 percent

Vivo V17 Pro (review) smartphone’s sales have begun in offline stores across India a day ahead of the schedule. At the time of the unveiling last week, Vivo announced that the V17 Pro will be available in the country from September 27th. However, 91mobiles has learnt from retail sources that the phone is available in the offline stores starting today. We have also been informed by retailers in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh that the company has reduced the Vivo V17 Pro sales targets for offline retailers by 15 percent. This is attributed to last year’s Snapdragon 675 chipset that is used on the handset; the Vivo V17 Pro price in India is Rs 29,990. What makes the situation worse for the company is that Redmi K20 Pro, which rocks the flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC, is available at a starting price of Rs 27,999.

Vivo V17 Pro specifications

If you manage to look past the 2018 processor, the Vivo V17 Pro seems to be a capable phone. The handset is the first smartphone in the country to pack pop-up dual selfie cameras, which comprises of 32-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor.
