“Vivo V1818CT and V1818CA could be a smartphone with specifications rather similar to the recently launched Vivo Y93”
Two new Vivo smartphones with model numbers V1818CA and V1818CT have appeared on Chinese certification agency TENAA. This is the first time these model numbers have appeared on the website, and there are no concrete details of the duo available at the moment. However, it should be noted that their appearance is just days after the Vivo Y93 was launched — this smartphone had been listed several times on TENAA and 3C with model numbers V1818A and V1818T.
While there is no concrete information about the new Vivo V1818CT and V1818CA models in the TENAA listing, we can expect the eventual smartphone to be quite similar to the Vivo Y93 in terms of hardware. This is because previously the V1813T and V1813A smartphones eventually released as the Vivo Y97, while the V1813BT and V1813BA hit the market as Vivo Z3. In terms of hardware, there are not too many distinctions between these two smartphones, with only the processor and selfie camera as the two major differences.
To recall, the Vivo V93 smartphone was launched earlier this week in China and has a Halo notch design to accommodate the selfie camera and sensors. It has a 6.2-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.5 custom UI. It is powered by an octa-core 12nm Snapdragon 439 processor clocked at 1.95 GHz, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Users can expand the storage up to 256GB.
Vivo Y93 has a dual-camera module at the back, which pairs a 13MP primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture) with a secondary 2MP depth sensor offering an f/2.4 aperture. There is also an 8MP selfie sensor with features like Face Wake, AI beautification, and AR stickers. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM capabilities and runs on FuntouchOS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is fuelled by a 4,030mAh battery and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and OTG support. Colour options include Starry Night and Red.
