“Apart from Vivo V19 Pro, X50 and X50 Pro, the company has also trademarked the names of Vivo Y13, V30, V29, and V27 upcoming smartphones”
Vivo is working on new X series and V series smartphones, a trademark listing has revealed. Names of Vivo X50, X50 Pro, Y13, V19 Pro, V30, V29, V27 smartphones have been spotted on the website of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The listing reveals the names of the upcoming handsets, but doesn’t give away anything beyond that regarding what Vivo has in store for us. The specifications, features, and launch date of all the aforementioned smartphones remain under the wraps at the moment. Considering the V19 Pro will be the successor to the V17 Pro, which launched just last month, it is likely some of these handsets may be several months away and probably won’t hit the stores until 2020.
We can, meanwhile, expect Vivo to launch the all-new Vivo S5 and Vivo X30 5G smartphones soon. Both the Vivo S5 and Vivo X30 have been in the rumour mill for quite some time. The Vivo S5 is expected to be the successor of the Vivo S1 series, which was launched not so long ago. The handset is likely to be a selfie-centric offering, with diamond-cut design and a quad-camera setup at the back. Rumours are rife that the Vivo S5 could pack an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 64-megapixel primary rear camera.
The Vivo X30, on the other hand, is said to feature fifth-generation cellular connectivity. The handset will reportedly pack Samsung’s Exynos 980 SoC that supports 5G modem, a triple rear camera setup, as well as a notch-less display with the front camera stowed away in the pop-out mechanism at the top. The X30 is likely to be an Android-powered mid-range offering from the brand, with an in-display fingerprint scanner. That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment.
