Vivo V40 vs Motorola Edge 50 Pro performance comparison: finding out better performer

The Vivo V40 and Motorola Edge 50 Pro (review) are closely aligned in terms of pricing, making them strong competitors in the same price segment. They are lifestyle-focused smartphones aimed at providing a holistic experience rather than a specific one. Moreover, the smartphones are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Does that mean similar performances for both smartphones or is there more to it than meets the eye? Let’s compare the Vivo V40 vs Motorola Edge 50 Pro performance.

AnTuTu

Marginally though, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro outperforms the Vivo V40 on the AnTuTu test, which evaluates the smartphone’s GPU, CPU, memory, and user experience performances. Interestingly, the Vivo excels in GPU and CPU performances, per the test, but struggles with memory and user experience so much so that it ends up on the losing side.

Geekbench

Thanks to its superior CPU and graphics performance, the Vivo V40 edges out the Motorola Edge 50 Pro on Geekbench. As with the AnTuTu benchmarks, the victory margin is narrow in both single-core and multi-core tests. While it may not be apparent to the naked eye, this theoretically indicates that the V40 should be faster at completing tasks.

Verdict

The comparison suggests that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Vivo V40 deliver similar overall performance. However, the Vivo V40 stands out with superior GPU and CPU capabilities, as seen in gaming tests where it also provides better thermal management than its rival. Conversely, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro offers a superior user experience and memory performance, according to AnTuTu, and handles strenuous loads effectively.
