The Vivo V40e is expected to launch as an ‘affordable’ variant of the Vivo V40 series. The smartphone has already appeared on the IMEI database and was recently spotted on Geekbench, the BIS and Bluetooth SIG website. A new leak now reveals the colours, battery, and India launch timeline for the Vivo V40e. 

  • Vivo V40e is slated to launch in India by the end of this month, according to a report by MySmartPrice
  • The new Vivo phone will feature an ultra-slim 3D curved design and launch in a ‘Royal Bronze’ colour. It’s said to be the slimmest smartphone in India yet. 
  • The Vivo V40e is also said to offer a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and pack a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. These are the same specs as the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro. 
  • The chipset and cameras are where we might see some compromises for the Vivo V40e. It’s also not confirmed whether the Vivo V40e will come with Zeiss optics like the V40 series. 

Vivo V40e: what to expect?

There isn’t much that has been revealed about the Vivo V40e yet. Based on its few online sightings, here’s what we could gather about the new phone. 

  • The Vivo V40e is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This is the same chipset that runs on the newly launched Motorola Edge 50 Neo. 
  • The new Vivo phone should come with at least 8GB of RAM, which could be one of its variants.
  • It’s also expected to launch with FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. 

The Vivo V40 starts at Rs 34,999, while the Pro model costs Rs 49,999 for the base model. The new model is expected to be priced lower so it might sit in the sub-Rs 30,000 price segment. The Vivo V30e also launched at a starting price of Rs 27,999 in India.
