A few days ago we exclusively shared the key details of the Vivo V50 Elite Edition smartphone in India. Now, the brand has officially confirmed the device’s existence and its launch date in the country. The upcoming offering will be the third device in the V50 series that consists of the Vivo V50 and V50e. This is also the first time Vivo is launching a V-series phone with Elite Edition moniker. 

Vivo V50 Elite Edition India launch confirmed

  • The Vivo V50 Elite Edition is confirmed to launch in India on May 15th, Thursday at 12 noon local time. 
  • The teaser shared on the X handle seemingly reveals Elite Edition engraving on the back panel. 
  • It is expected to have a circular camera island compared to pill-shaped module found on the other two V50 series phones. 
  • The upcoming offering will come with cameras co-engineered with Zeiss. 
  • The post also mentions that the V50 Elite Edition is more than just a phone with sound that surrounds and portraits that captivate. 
  • Vivo has not revealed much about the V50 Elite Edition at the moment. We can learn the details which is just a few days away. 

Vivo V50 and V50e specifications

The Vivo V50 Elite Edition is said to come with similar specifications like the V50. Here’s what to expect:

  • The Vivo V50 features a 6.77-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz display and HDR10+. The screen is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. 
  • There is a 50MP primary rear camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 50MP front-facing selfie snapper.
  • The standard model is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC whereas the V50e is powered by a Dimensity 7300 chipset. 
  • The V50 is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. 

The Vivo V50 starts at Rs 34,999 whereas the Vivo V50e carries a starting price tag of Rs 28,999.
