[Exclusive] Vivo V50 Elite Edition to launch in India on May 15th: here’s what to expect

Vivo V50 was launched in India earlier this year in February as a successor to the Vivo V40. There was no Pro model this time. The brand later introduced a slightly cheaper Vivo V50e. The series is soon getting a new model in the form of the Vivo V50 Elite edition, 91mobiles has exclusively learned from industry sources. Here are the details.

The Vivo V50 Elite India launch date is May 15th, as per our industry sources.
The design of the new Vivo V50 Elite model is said to be the only key difference, as the specifications are said to be similar to the standard Vivo V50.

The design details are currently under wraps, but we should know more in the next few days. To recall, the Vivo V50 features a quad-curved display on the front and a new Starry Night sky design on the back panel, which is said to be India’s First 3d-Star Technology.

Based on the speculation that the Vivo V50 Elite Edition will have similar specifications like the V50, here’s what to expect:

Display: Vivo V50 sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with 2392×1080 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 4500 nits peak brightness.
Processor: Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
OS: Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 custom skin out of the box.
Cameras: The Vivo V50 packs a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 50MP wide-angle camera at the back. There is a 50MP shooter on the front for selfies.
Battery: We get a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging.
Others: An IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and stereo speakers.
Connectivity: 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

The Vivo V50 price in India is Rs 34,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, Rs 36,999 for the 8GB/256GB version and Rs 40,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant. Judging by the moniker, the Vivo V50 Elite Edition could be priced higher than the vanilla V50.
