Vivo V80 Lite 5G has been launched in more global markets. The smartphone was made official in Pakistan recently with a 7,050mAh battery, but other markets will get a 10,000mAh battery. Large batteries have become a growing trend among smartphone brands, with a focus on increasing capacities but still maintaining a slim form factor. Vivo has yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the V80 Lite global variant, but the handset is already up for pre-orders in Malaysia. There’s no word on an India launch yet.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G specifications
The Vivo V80 Lite’s highlight is its 10,000mAh battery, which should be able to easily provide multi-day usage. Vivo also claims the V80 Lite set a new record for the longest electronic product testing livestream, lasting 32 hours and 37 minutes. The battery is equipped with 4th-generation silicon anode technology and Vivo’s Magic Cube Battery Packaging for extended heavy usage. The handset comes with 44W fast charging support.
In comparison, the Vivo V70 Lite packs a 6,500mAh battery. Among rivals, the Realme P4 Power also offers a 10,001mAh battery, giving the V80 Lite a direct competitor.
Up front is a 6.83-inch 1.5K (1,260 x 2,800 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. The handset also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. On the software front, the Vivo V80 Lite runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
The Vivo V80 Lite carries a 50MP primary camera, paired with a 2MP macro camera, and a 32MP front camera for selfies. Under the hood runs the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. We’re yet to test its performance, but the chipset should be able to deliver capable performance for everyday usage.
In terms of design, the Vivo V80 Lite has rounded corners and ultra-slim 1.35 mm bezels. It comes in Pink, White, Black, and Green, each with a distinct textured effect inspired by natural elements.
The Vivo V80 Lite is clearly aimed at people who want a large-battery phone but with a stylish and slim design. If battery life is your priority, then the Vivo V80 Lite can be considered. However, if you want faster performance or versatile cameras, you may want to check out alternatives. We should still wait for pricing details before making any buying decision.
