Vivo India’s next offering will be the V9 Pro smartphone, hints a teaser post shared on Amazon’s website. As per the listing, the successor to the V9 (review) will be unveiled on September 26th with some improvements in its core specs. While the name of the smartphone hasn’t been mentioned on the page up front, further investigation into its source code reveals it to be the Vivo V9 Pro. Moreover, Vivo has recently announced the smartphone in Indonesia as the V9.
Coming to the specifications, the Vivo V9 Pro could flaunt a notch-toting 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, the phone is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, expandable up to 256GB.
For photography, the Vivo V9 Pro could boast dual cameras with an LED flash at the rear. The set up is expected to have a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth of field effect. On the front, the phone is rumoured to offer a 12-megapixel shooter. Software-wise, the phone will boot Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS out of the box. A 3,260mAh battery housed inside the metal unibody design could complete the list of the specs.
