- Vivo Watch 2 tipped to get eSIM functionality by tipster Mukul Sharma
- Vivo Watch will also get an OLED display and 510mAh battery
- The eSIM functionality will introduce new features like calling and internet functionality
Vivo is planning on a new smartwatch to be the successor of the Vivo Watch. The new smartwatch, christened the Vivo Watch 2, was found on TENAA and tipster Mukul Sharma has tweeted that the Vivo Watch 2 is likely to have an OLED display, a 510mAh battery, and eSIM functionality. Earlier last month a similar report by Gizchina confirmed the possibility of an eSIM functionality on the upcoming smartwatch. The report also stated the confirmation of the Vivo Watch 2 moniker by Digital Chat Station. The Vivo Watch 2 will succeed the Vivo Watch in many markets and the inclusion of the eSIM functionality will be a step forward.
The new eSIM functionality will greatly improve the features available on the Vivo Watch 2. The Vivo Watch 2 will be able to receive or make calls, surf the internet without needing a backup mode of connections, and deliver a smartphone-free experience. The Vivo Watch is also believed to pack in features like support for an even more number of applications as was the case with the Xiaomi Watch Color 2.
