“Vivo will be the latest to shun the headphone jack in the mid-range series after Samsung if this leak is right”
A new Vivo X series phone named Vivo X15 has leaked online today, hinting the company might be readying a new mid-ranger in the series. Currently, the X range consists of models such as Vivo X27 and Vivo X27 Pro. The leaked renders show the handset’s looks from different angles, revealing the whole design. Going by the name, the upcoming Vivo X15 could become the entry-point to the X series and positioned below the X21s model.
As the image by Androidupdated shows, the Vivo X15 doesn’t go for any fancy design and has a thick chin as well as wide notch. It is apparent the front camera is nestled in the top bezel and the bottom bezel is quite thick for today’s standards. The back is quite standard in design terms, with gradient colour, dual camera situated in the centre, and a fingerprint reader below it. Also, there’s no headphone jack to be seen anywhere, which is interesting since most affordable phones still retain the 3.5mm jack. As for the Vivo X15, this is pretty much the first we’ve seen of the device. Also, there are no specifications to go by, so take this leak with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, Vivo is busy expanding its Y series in India with two new recent launches. The company announced the budget Vivo Y15 in India with highlighted features such as a triple camera and a 5,000mAh battery. This was followed by the Vivo Y12 recently that also has similar features.
