Earlier in February this year, it was reported that the Vivo X200 Pro Mini will launch in India this month. However, that has not materialised. For those unaware, The Vivo X200 Pro Mini is a compact offering that launched in China last October. Now, a new report suggests that Vivo has internally reconsidered some of the specifications of the X200 Pro Mini, and it will arrive as the Vivo X200 FE.
Vivo X200 FE to replace X200 Pro Mini in India
- Citing sources, Smartprix (via) reports that India will get the Vivo X200 FE instead of the X200 Pro Mini.
- It is expected to launch in the country by the end of June or early July. However, things could still change.
- Yesterday, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo (via) leaked key details of the Vivo S30 Pro Mini.
- It is rumoured to be a new model in the company’s S-series that comprises of standard and pro variants.
- The leaked specifications shared by both sources suggests that the Vivo X200 FE could be a rebadged version of the S30 Pro Mini in China.
- The alleged upcoming offering will have slightly different specifications compared to the Vivo X200 Pro Mini.
- The Vivo X200 FE is said to retain the same 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display bearing a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Instead of triple rear cameras, the smartphone will reportedly feature two 50MP sensors including a telelphoto unit and a 50MP selfie snapper.
- The leak reveals that the Vivo X200 FE will be powered by the unannounced Dimensity 9400e SoC which is expected to be a tweaked version of the Dimensity 9300+.
- The device is also tipped to support 90W fast charging and details about the battery capacity remain unclear.
If the report indeed turns out to be true, the Vivo X200 FE could arrive with stripped-down specifications compared to the Vivo X200 Pro Mini. To recall, the Vivo X200 Pro Mini debuted at a starting price tag of CNY 4,699 (~Rs 55,750). The Vivo X200 series launched in India last December starting at Rs 65,999.
