Vivo X200T tipped to launch in India by January-end, will be a mix of X200 and X200 FE: report

Vivo might just surprise everyone by launching a new phone from its previous X200 lineup. The device in question is called the Vivo X200T, and it’s tipped to launch in India by January-end, according to a report by Smartprix. What makes it more interesting is that the Vivo X200T will be a mix of the X200 and the X200 FE. The Vivo X200T’s India launch is questionable, as the brand has already introduced the flagship Vivo X300 series, so any new phone that launches in the near future would be part of this series, and not the X200.

According to the report, quoting tipster Yogesh Brar as the source, the Vivo X200T is slated to arrive in India by late January 2026. The report adds that the X200T could also work as a “strategic refresher” for the series, which could work in Vivo’s favour to maximise sales. Since the X200T is said to be a mix between the flagship X200 and the compact X200, we could see a flagship-level smartphone with a more affordable price than the latest flagship X300 lineup, and even the X200. The Vivo X200 FE is currently the brand’s flagship alternative, with a price tag of Rs 54,999, so the Vivo X200T could be priced around the same.

There are no details regarding the Vivo X200T’s specifications yet. But certain things are likely to arrive with the X200T. These include Zeiss cameras, a large battery that’s 6,000mAh minimum, possibly a MediaTek chipset, and OriginOS 6. Since the phone will be based on the Vivo X200 and X200 FE, we may see a similar display size to the X200, which is 6.67 inches. Since the X200 FE is already a compact phone, and the X300 FE is expected to launch in early 2026, another compact phone seems unlikely. This is just speculation based on Vivo’s current smartphone portfolio. But a flagship-level phone without the premium price tag is surely going to entice buyers, so the strategy might just work for Vivo, provided the specifications are also worth it.

With an early-2026 launch tipped, there’s still time for Vivo to reveal more about the X200T, if it exists at all. Details remain under wraps, so it’s too early to offer concrete buying advice. Still, the phone does sound like an interesting prospect, and if you’re considering a premium mid-ranger, it may be worth waiting to see what Vivo brings to the table.
