“The Vivo X21i is a mid-range offering with a nearly bezel-less display and a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC”
Earlier this year in March, Vivo introduced the X21 mid-range smartphone in its home market China. Now, the company has unveiled a new variant of the phone called Vivo X21i. The new model offers the almost the same specs as its predecessor but with some enhancements in the selfie camera and battery department.
While the Vivo X21 utilises a Snapdragon 660 SoC, the X21i is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, which is based on a 12nm fabrication process. The Vivo X21i sports a 6.28-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display bearing an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. Software-wise, the phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0 and comes with the brand’s Jovi AI assistant.
The Vivo X21i boasts a dual camera setup at the rear – a 12MP primary snapper with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 5MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, you get a 24-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The phone comes in two RAM and storage variants – 6GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, hybrid dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The other features include a 3,245mAh battery with fast charging support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip.
Interestingly, both the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variants of the Vivo X21i cost the same RMB 2,698 (~Rs 28,700). The phone is already available to pre-order in China in three colour variants – Ruby Red, Aurora White, and Polar Night Black.
