“The X21i is expected to be an affordable variant of the X21 with better AI integration”
Vivo launched its much anticipated and hyped smartphone – X21 earlier this year in China. The smartphone was being offered in two variants by the brand – one with a regular fingerprint scanner and other with an under-display fingerprint reader. Now, it appears that the brand has yet another model of the smartphone in the pipeline, which will be powered by a different processor. The upcoming device has allegedly been dubbed X21i and has been spotted on the Geekbench website.
According to the Geekbench listing of the handset, the Vivo X21i comes powered by ARMMT6771V/C processor, which refers to the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. The listing further reveals that the processor on the smartphone is backed by 6GB of RAM. On the software front, the smartphone is listed with the Android 8.1 Oreo. On the benchmark, the smartphone has scored 1,499 in single core test and 5,777 in multi-core test. It’s being speculated that the presence of Helio P60 chipset might indicate the better integration of AI capabilities in the phone.
Apart from this, no further information about the Vivo X21i is known at the moment. However, it is being speculated that the apart from the different processor, it will retain the spec sheet of the regular variant. If that’s true, we can expect it to ship with a 6.28-inch display with full HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio for the notch. On the imaging front, the handset might feature a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel setup on the back and 12-megapixel front camera. The battery on the handset is expected to be the same 3,200mAh unit.
There is no word on the availability and pricing of the handset, however, it’s expected that the upcoming X21i will be more affordable than the regular model.
