Vivo X21s price revealed for the 6GB + 128GB variant; launch speculated to be later this month

Recently, there have been talks of Vivo preparing a successor to its first in-display fingerprint smartphone X21 (review) in the form of X21s. The smartphone was first spotted in a Weibo post and then in a series of live images. Now, the pricing of the handset has been leaked on the internet.

Vivo X21s pricing, launch date

It is being speculated that the brand will launch the Vivo X21s in China by November 15th. This is based on China Telecom website listing, which hinted that the phone will go on sale in China on November 15th. However, the exact date of the launch is not known at the moment. Ahead of the official launch of the device, a leak has revealed the pricing of at least one variant of the same. According to the Twitter leakster MadSimar, Vivo X21S will be priced at 2,700 yuan (~Rs 28,500) in China for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. As of now, there is no word on the India launch of the handset, however, since Vivo X21 was launched here we can expect the successor to come as well after a few weeks.

If the earlier reports are to be believed, the Vivo X21s will come with a 6.41-inch OLED display with a screen resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset ticking at its core. The processor is further said to be backed by 6GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage. Coming to the cameras, the Vivo X21S is is rumoured to ship with a 12MP + 5MP setup with LED flash on the back and a powerful 25MP selfie shooter on the front. Powering the smartphone will be a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support. The handset is expected to boot FunTouch OS based on the Android 8.1 Oreo.

The China Telecom website listing revealed that the brand will offer Vivo X21s in two colourways – Millennium Pink and Starry Night Black.
