“The Vivo X27 Pro appears to be a more powerful version of the Vivo X27 and sports a larger display”
Vivo is about to announce the Vivo X27 in China today, bringing a mid-range device with a pop-up selfie camera. The phone has leaked plenty of time and we’ve seen the renders and some of the specifications have been revealed officially. However, Vivo might be launching a more powerful variant of the Vivo X27 at the event today. The phone will be called the X27 Pro and has appeared on TENAA.
The listing on TENAA reveals the specifications of the so called Vivo X27 Pro and it appears to be a phablet of sorts. As per the listing, the phone will come with a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution, slim bezels, and no notch. It is powered by the Snapdragon 710 chipset, which is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage. The device listed on TENAA carries the model numbers V1836A and V1836AT.
The phone appears to have a 3,920mAh battery that will support fast charging. As seen in the images above, the X27 Pro will have a different rear camera setup when compared to the standard X27. The setup is centrally placed and will feature three cameras that include a primary 48-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor, and a third 2-megapixel depth unit. The phone will feature a pop-up camera with a 32-megapixel camera and LED flash. And since there’s no fingerprint scanner at the back, it will come with an in-display scanner.
As per the listing, the phone will run Android 9.0 Pie with the FunTouch UI on top. It is expect to be priced around RMB 3,998, which is about Rs 41,000. Reports suggest that the phone could go on sale during the second week of April and will be available in at least two colour options. Apart from the Vivo X27 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer may also launch the Vivo S1 and another variant of the X27 with a different CPU. We will have to wait to find out what Vivo has in store for us.
