Vivo has shared a teaser video of its upcoming smartphone, called Vivo X50. The series is expected to include that Vivo X50 and X50 Pro that will be succeed the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro, which were launched in December last year. The latest teaser reveals the Vivo X50 or the Pro model will debut with a new camera tech that will offer gimbal-like stabilisation. In the video, the handset can be seen with quad rear cameras that bears an ability to rotate in almost any direction and plane. The camera setup will include a periscope lens for high zooming capabilities. The Vivo X50 series is set to launch in China on June 1st.
The micro gimbal technology was previously showcased on the Vivo Apex 2020. The company said back then that the micro gimbal camera extends the stabilisation angle by 200 percent and that the design was inspired by the eyeballs of a chameleon.
As of now, key Vivo X50 specifications are still unknown. The Vivo X50 Pro is said to come with a curved Super-AMOLED 6.65-inch Full-HD+ display and a high refresh rate. The handset is also speculated to feature a punch-hole display for the selfie camera, just like its predecessor. The Vivo X50 series is said to launch on June 1st which is when we will know more about the smartphones’ prices and availability.
