Vivo X50 and X50 Pro mid-range smartphones will be announced in China today i.e June 1st. Ahead of its official debut, Vivo India CEO Jerome Chen has confirmed the India launch of the Vivo X50 5G series via his Facebook page. Chen hasn’t revealed the exact launch date in India yet, but it will happen soon. The Vivo X50 and X50 Pro specifications and renders have also been listed on Chinese retailer website JD.com ahead of today’s launch, leaving almost nothing to the imagination. As for the price, we will know more about that during today’s launch event.
Vivo X50 and X50 Pro are tipped to be 5G smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. The Vivo X50 renders reveal the phone will sport a punch-hole display with a flat glass and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The X50 Pro, on the other hand, will get a curved glass design. Both the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro will come with an AI quad camera setup on the back.
Both the Vivo X50 models will be available in two configurations – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. On JD.com, the Vivo X50 is listed to come in Liquid Oxygen, Black Mirror and a gradient Shallow colour option. The X50 Pro, on the other hand, will be available in Liquid Oxygen and Black Mirror colours. As for some key features, the Vivo X50 series of smartphones are expected to come with 90Hz displays, 33W fast charging and a new gimbal camera system for enhanced stability.
