Some time ago, we exclusively reported that the Vivo X60 series will be launched in India by the end of March or the beginning of April. Now, we have received some more information to add to that. A company official who doesn’t wish to be named has told us that the Vivo X50 Pro+ India launch is also on the cards and that the phone will be unveiled alongside the Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro. Despite being launched in mid-2020, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is still a solid flagship device overall. It offers a laundry list of impressive features such as 5G connectivity and an HDR 10+ certified screen. The seemingly random inclusion of the Vivo X50 Pro+ to the Vivo X60 series India launch indirectly tells us that the Vivo X60 Pro+ may not launch in the country anytime soon as Vivo might want to keep that exclusive to the Chinese market for a bit longer.

The smartphone will be launched in India for around Rs 40,000, which is significantly lesser than its Chinese price of CNY 4,998 (approx Rs 56,000). This pricing makes sense considering the phone will be arriving It’ll be interesting to see how the remaining Vivo X60 devices are priced with the Vivo X50 Pro+.

Vivo X50 Pro+ specifications

For all intents and purposes, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is a flagship smartphone. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. It can be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone features a 4,350mAh battery that supports fast wired charging at 44W. Lastly, the Vivo X50 Pro+ will run Android 10 out of the box, customized with FunTouch OS 10.5.

As mentioned earlier, the Vivo X50 Pro+ comes with an impressive HDR10+ screen. Its 6.5-inch AMOLED FHD+ AMOLED panel has a refresh rate of 120Hz. A hole-punch camera on the top-left corner of the screen houses its 32MP selfie camera. At the back, we get a 50MP main camera, 13MP periscope-style telephoto lens which offers up to 5X optical zoom, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32MP telephoto lens. The cameras can record 8K video at 30 FPS. Other Vivo X50 Pro+ features include NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-fi, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
