Vivo X70 series is set to launch in China on September 9th and the global unveiling was scheduled for September 10th. However, it looks like the company has delayed the global launch by a few days. The Vivo X70 lineup will now go official on September 13th instead. This is just a day ahead of the rumoured iPhone 13 launch on September 14th. The reason behind this remains unknown at the moment but the company has confirmed the Vivo X70 Pro will be available in Cosmic Black and Aurora Dawn colours globally. The phones will have Zeiss optics with Gimbal-like stabilisation.
Vivo X70 series specifications
The Vivo X70 Pro is said to come with quad-cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor, two 12MP cameras, and an 8MP lens. The phone is tipped to have a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. The device is said to sport a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ pixel resolution and curved edges. The Vivo X70 Pro is rumoured to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The handset could pack a 4,380mAh battery with 55W fast-charging support.
On the other hand, the Vivo X70 is said to have a 6.58-inch flat display with 1080×2376 pixels resolutions and probably an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. However, the Vivo X70 has appeared on TENAA recently with model numbers V2132A and V2133A, where the former is said to be powered by the Exynos chipset, which is interesting. The Vivo X70 measures 160.10mm x 75.39mm x 7.55m and weighs 181 grams. It is said to pack a 4,320mAh battery and will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. The series is likely to run Android 11 OS. The triple camera setup on the X70 is tipped to include a 40MP primary sensor, a 12MP secondary sensor, and another 12MP sensor. On the front, it is said to have a 32MP camera for selfies
Lastly, the top-end X70 Pro Plus will sport a 6.7-inch curved display and could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset along with quad rear cameras.
