Vivo X70 series launched in India back in September and comprised of Vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro Plus. It appears the brand is readying a follow-up series, the Vivo X80. 91mobiles has exclusively learned from industry sources that the Vivo X80 series is definitely coming to India by late January or early February. Furthermore, our source tells us at least two models will be coming, however, the base Vivo X80 might not be one of them. This means we can speculate that the Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro Plus will be launching in the country. However, their specifications have not been revealed at the moment.

There haven’t been many leaks about the Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro Plus. Recent reports have claimed the vanilla model would come with a 120Hz FHD+ display, 4-nanometer Dimensity 2000 chipset, and Android 11 OS. It is tipped to come with a 50MP 1/1.3″ primary sensor that will support 5-axis stabilisation, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. We hope to learn more details about the Vivo X80 series going forward.

To recall, the Vivo X70 Pro sports a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate display, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, and a punch-hole cutout. There is a 4,450mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, up to 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 11-based FuntouchOS custom skin out of the box. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It measures 158.3×73.2x8mm and weighs 185 grams.

Vivo X70 Pro has a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX766V primary sensor, OIS, ultra-sensing Gimbal camera, Gimbal stabilisation 3.0 technology, Zeiss optics, f/1.75 aperture, and Zeiss T* coating. The main sensor is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 116-degree FoV and f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP 5x periscope lens with f/3.4 aperture, and laser autofocus, and a 12MP 50mm portrait camera with a Sony IMX663 sensor. There is a 32MP selfie snapper with an f/2.45 aperture.

Vivo X70 Pro Plus sports a large 6.78-inch QHD+ Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate display, punch-hole cutout, Corning Gorilla Glass, and curved edges. There is a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor with a Samsung GN1 sensor, f/1.57 aperture, gimbal OIS, Zeiss T* coating, V1 chip, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens with Sony IMX598 sensor, Ultra-Wide Gimbal Camera with 360-degree horizon levelling stabilisation technology, a 12MP depth sensor with f/1.6 aperture, and an 8MP periscope camera, OIS, 5x optical zoom, and 60x superzoom.

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC with Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone boots Android 11 OS with FuntouchOS custom skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast-charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 32MP selfie snapper. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
