Vivo X90s: what we know so far

The first of the two leaks that we’ve spotted so far comes courtesy of MySmartPrice, which flagged its listing on the Google Play Console. The latter is a common place for upcoming smartphones to be registered, before being sold commercially. According to this listing, the Vivo X90s smartphone could feature an as-yet-unannounced chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus.

The latter is reportedly set to be launched by MediaTek on May 10th, following which the Vivo X90s could become one of the first smartphones to feature it. The Dimensity 9200 Plus will seemingly outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship SoC from Qualcomm, according to leaked claims. This does not seem entirely improbable, as the Dimensity 9200 is already only a whisker behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip as per public benchmark data.

Apart from the chip, the Vivo X90s was seen sporting a 2800 x 1260-pixel display, a drill-hole slot for the front camera, Android 13, and 12GB RAM onboard.

A second leak about the smartphone, courtesy of Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, said that the smartphone could feature Wi-Fi 7 in terms of connectivity, and the display could be 6.78-inch in size. It could also feature a 50MP primary rear camera paired with Vivo V2 ISP, and use the 120W fast charging standard. Other details such as additional camera units, storage and RAM variants and battery size remain unclear as of now.

Most specs of the Vivo X90s appear similar to the X90 Pro, and it remains to be seen how the two may differ in the long run.
