Vivo has quietly announced a new Y series smartphone called Vivo Y12 in India. The handset was doing the rounds of the internet for quite some time, and now, it is heading to retail stores. According to a Vivo dealership partner, the smartphone will hit retail stores across the country this week, likely in a couple of days. The Vivo Y12, as reported exclusively by 91mobiles, boasts of triple rear cameras, Halo display, and a beefy battery with reverse charging support. The new Vivo Y12 runs Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS to take care software side of things and carries an affordable price tag.

The Vivo Y12 price in India starts at Rs 11,999 for the entry-level 4GB + 32GB storage option, confirmed by a company dealer. The 3GB + 64GB storage variant will set you back to Rs 12,990. The handset is said to go on sale in the country in a day or two via retail stores across the country.

As for the specifications, the Vivo Y12 packs a 6.35-inch Halo FullView display with HD+ resolution, 19.3:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. The phone is driven by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. In the camera department, the Vivo Y12 comes with 8-megapixel f/2.2 sensor + 13-megapixel f/2.2 shooter + 2-megapixel f/2.4 snapper on the rear and an 8-megapixel AI selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and AI Face Beauty mode on the front.
