Earlier this month, 91mobiles exclusively reported that Vivo is planning to launch its new Y series smartphones called the Vivo Y12 and Y15 in India soon. Notably, just a few days ago, we also revealed the complete specifications of the upcoming Vivo offerings. Now, we bring you the pricing details of the Vivo Y12.
According to our sources in the retail chain, the Vivo Y12 will be available in India in two RAM and storage configurations – 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 32GB. The former will be priced at Rs 11,990, while the latter will be offered for Rs 12,990. While we don’t have the exact launch date of the phone, our sources suggest that the phone will be available via major brick and mortar stores across the country in the next few days.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Vivo Y12 will feature a 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. The phone will be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor. Software-wise, the handset will boot Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. For security, the device has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock functionality.
Moving on to the other features, at the rear, the Vivo Y12 has a triple camera setup comprising of an 8MP f/2.2 sensor, a 13MP f/2.2 shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 snapper. For selfies, the handset will offer an 8MP AI camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and AI Face Beauty mode. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. Lastly, the smartphone is fuelled by a massive 5,000mAh battery.
The Vivo Y15 is also expected to go on sale alongside the Y12 in the coming days. This one will go on sale at the starting price of Rs 14,990, as per our sources. We will update you more as soon as the brand officially announces anything, so stay tuned.
