Vivo Y20, Y20i to launch in India soon; specifications leaked

Vivo Y20 and Y20i are the upcoming budget phones from the brand.

Vivo Y20 and Y20i budget phones are expected to launch in India soon. Now, ahead of the announcement, 91mobiles has managed to get hands on the teaser poster and complete specifications of the standard Vivo Y20, courtesy of retail sources. The poster image shows both the Vivo Y20 and Y20i will have a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, a rectangular camera module and will be available in Blue and White colour hues. Vivo Y20 and Y20i launch offer includes a 5 percent cashback from Federal bank and is valid until September 30th.

Vivo Y20 sports a 6.51-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with 1,600 x 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 256GB. The handset boots Android 10 with Funtouch OS 10.5 custom skin on top. Connectivity options could include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

As for the cameras, the Vivo Y20 features a triple setup on the back consisting of a 13MP (f/2.2) primary shooter, a 2MP (f/2.4) Bokeh sensor, a 2MP Super Macro lens. For selfies and video chats, there is an 8MP (f/1.8) snapper on the front. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support fuels the phone. It measures 164.41 × 76.32 × 8.41 mm and weighs 192.3 grams. The Vivo Y20 will be available in Obsidian Black and Dawn White colours.

As for the Y20i, courtesy of noted tipster Mukul Sharma, we know quite a few details about it. The handset retains most of the similar specifications. However, the Y20i packs just 3GB RAM in place of 4GB and the same 5,000mAh battery but with normal charging speed instead of 18W. The handset also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and be powered by the Snapdragon 460 SoC. The phone will come in Nebula Blue and Dawn White colour.
