Vivo Y38 5G with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 6,000mAh battery unveiled in Taiwan: check specs

Following the launch of the Vivo V30e in India, the smartphone brand has unveiled a new Y-series smartphone in Taiwan. The all-new Vivo Y38 5G comes with a 6.68-inch display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a 50MP dual rear camera setup, and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging technology, among several others. Here are the features and other key details of the newly announced Vivo Y38 5G.

Vivo Y38 5G storage, colour options

The Vivo Y38 5G has been announced in Taiwan in a single storage variant – 8GB+256GB. However, the price of the Vivo smartphone hasn’t been revealed yet. We will update the price once it is announced. It will be available for purchase in Dark Green and Ocean Blue colour options.

Vivo Y38 5G specifications

The all-new Vivo Y38 5G boasts a 6.68-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. The phone also packs dual stereo speakers and weighs 199 grams, as per the company.

The Vivo Y38 5G is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 1TB via a microSD card slot. It operates on Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14.

Regarding cameras, the newly announced Y38 5G features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and 2MP secondary sensor, along with an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. It flaunts a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging technology.

In terms of additional features, the Vivo Y38 5G phone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, an IP64 splash and dust resistance rating, different camera modes, Split-screen, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, and Wi-Fi 5, among several others.
