Vivo Y55s is an upcoming mid-range smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, which is expected to be launched in the next couple of days. The phone was recently spotted on the China Telecom website and now has been listed on TENAA. The listing has revealed most of the specifications of the smartphone. The exact camera size and features aren’t known yet, but that should be revealed very soon. According to a report, the Vivo Y55s is expected to launch in China on December 4th. Let’s take a look at what this phone has to offer.
Vivo Y55s specifications
The TENAA listing for the Vivo Y55s has spilled the beans on its specifications. As per the listing, the smartphone will get a 6.58-inch LCD display that will offer FHD+ resolution. It isn’t known if the display will feature a high refresh rate of some sort. The phone will be available with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It should also get a fingerprint sensor, but we’re not sure if it’s an in-display sensor or a side-mounted one.
The Vivo Y55s will get a dual-rear camera setup, which consists of a primary 50MP sensor, and a second 2MP unit. On the front, the phone gets an 8MP selfie camera. The TENAA listing shows that the phone houses a 4,910mAh battery, however, the other China Telecom listing states that it’ll be a larger 6,000mAh cell. We will have to wait to find out which is the correct capacity. Nevertheless, the phone will support fast charging. It’ll run Android 11 with a custom skin, and offer dual SIM support.
The China Telecom listing had also revealed the images of the phone along with the pricing. In China, the Vivo Y55s price is said to be CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs 22,300) for the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant. While the TENAA listing did not reveal the CPU details, the China Telecom listing showed that the phone will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.
